Logistics Manager — Fort Hood (OTC Support)

Employer: Apogee Solutions
Location: Fort Hood, TX
Pay: See posting for details
Type: Full-time — Onsite (supporting Army Operational Test Command); Requires active DOD Top Secret clearance

What You’ll Do

  • Lead property management for Government Furnished Property (GFP): acquisition, receiving, tagging/labeling, storage, and lifecycle replacement.

  • Establish and maintain a Property Management System and conduct joint/quarterly/annual inventories with the Government.

  • Oversee preventive maintenance, coordinate dispatch for base operations support and field test locations (CONUS/OCONUS), and manage motor pool/automotive support.

Potential Trade-offs

  • Must hold and maintain an active Top Secret clearance; onboarding and background requirements are strict.

  • Job may require frequent coordination with field tests and travel; schedule can be driven by test timelines and mission needs.

Qualifications / Requirements

Would You Take This Job? — How do you feel about a mission-focused logistics leadership role that requires a Top Secret clearance and extensive inventory/accountability responsibility?

“schedule can be driven by test timelines” — yep, ; when I supported OTC, the only thing that kept GFP sane was pre-tagging everything with IUIDs and staging palletized kits per test with a handheld scanner in the go-bag. If you take Fort Hood onsite, plan for late-night inventories after hot washes and build a quick Excel + barcode workflow upfront; TS means you can’t push audits to vendors.
