Our WMS “optimized” this morning’s wave by bouncing me from A1 to Z9 between every line; my counter read 18,243 steps at 11:58 and the Zebra pushed a firmware update mid-scan, so two rush orders sat staring at me. Please tell me I’m not the only one whose “efficiency” gains come with a cardio workout and a ship-late apology.
I started flipping the TC57 into ‘airplane mode + Wi-Fi on’ before a wave; it keeps the WMS online but blocks those surprise firmware pushes, so my picks don’t get nuked mid-scan. If @IT insists on updates, push them to a set window after lunch; the pathing still stinks, but at least the Zebra stops sabotaging rushes.
